Donations for L-Istrina

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Kindly note we are collecting donations in aid of Istrina-the BOV Piggy Bank Campaign. These funds will be donated on the 26th of December during the national charity event.

Students eligible to attend MFL lessons

Dear parents/guardians,

Children who were born in Malta, thus have their ID card ending in L are not eligible to attend MFL sessions. They have to follow the Maltese lessons in the mainstream.

PINK OCTOBER

Dear parents/guardians

The school is celebrating Pink October on Thursday, 31st October.  All students can celebrate this occasion by wearing a pink or white shirt/top over a pair of any coloured jeans/ trousers/ school trousers/shorts. They are also free to wear pink accessories such as hair bands, socks etc.  Donations to the Marigold Foundation can be deposited in a pink box upon entry to school.

Collecting batteries at school for Hospice

We are pleased to inform you that the Batteries for Hospice school competition 2024/2025 is now officially open!

The 2023/2024 winning school was the Mtarfa Primary, getting a €300 voucher kindly provided by TJ Novelty. Congratulations to this small school with a big heart!

As in previous years, we shall keep collecting used batteries for Hospice, however, this year we have increased the number of prizes to be won by schools!

There shall be 3 cash prizes to schools every term, awarding the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placed schools which collect the largest amounts of batteries.

In addition, we shall be giving out gifts to students who bring 20+ used batteries to school.  

Kindly share the attached flier with Parents/Guardians to encourage their participation in helping us help Hospice.

Christmas Card Competition

The Eastern Regional Council has recently launched its Christmas Card Competition and encourages the participation of children from 14 years and under.

To participate one has to follow the following steps:

  • Create a drawing or a painting in either landscape or portrait orientation
  • Choose one of the following themes for your artwork:

1. Traditional Maltese Christmas
Tip: Capture the essence of traditional Maltese Christmas customs, such as festive feasts 🍽️, setting up the presepju (crib) 🏠, or the magical atmosphere of Christmas Eve Mass 🎉.

2. Christmas in the Eastern Region
Tip: Illustrate how your local town or village transforms during the Christmas season, showcasing the enchanting twinkling lights , decorations 🎊, and joyful nighttime festivities 🌙.

3. Christmas with Local Fauna

Tip: Depict local animals 🐶🐱 celebrating the holiday, including cats, dogs, rabbits 🐇, and birds 🐦, in a festive setting.

It is important that the artworks are kept safe, as we will need to scan or photograph them for submission.

There is a chance of winning gifts thanks to the sponsors: W.O.T Art, VeeGeeBee Art, ESPLORA and Kite Group.

Travelling permission forms

Dear parents/guardians

Please find attached the Exemption forms for students travelling abroad. One form is for trips lasting less than fifteen days, while the other is for trips exceeding fifteen days.

These forms must be submitted to the school before going abroad, and permission will be granted by the Head of School.
